Infineon Raceway, CA 07/03/10 West Coast Pro Gas Race #4

MBA Racing Team was ready to go. Arrived the night before, unloaded the cars and sat down for a drink of some homemade MBA Racing beer mmmm. The view of relaxation, good cold beer and what makes a girl’s heart go pitter patter…. Pontiac drag cars that the family races :)

Now onto how the Team did at the event. All three drivers made it thru first round of eliminations. Sometimes that feels like making it over the tallest peak. D-Gas runs first so I do not know how Cupcake or Hot Wheels do until they roll back into the pits. I stand there waiting for a thumbs up or down. I think they like to keep me in torment and let me stand there going what what and they tell me when they get out with GREAT BIG smiles. One of these days...... I will get them back LOL. See they are in the staging lanes behind me when I run although they are suited up and in their cars they usually can see the win light either go on in my lane or not when I run when we are at Infineon.

Some of the MBA Racing Crew chilling in the staging lanes. Considering ole "Hot Wheels" Mike was #1 Qualifier again, yes I said again, that is three races in a row may I say WAY TO GO THERE Mike, Crew Chief Keith and the Team! "Hot Wheels" Mike also made it to the Semi-Finals, GR-RRReat job!!

"Mean Barbara Jean" and her Lil FireChicken cut an .001 lignt in the Semi-Finals that took them to the Finals. On the flip side she went .001 red in the Finals giving her the runner up in the Finals. Still an overall GR-RRReat day racing.

One of our Pit Crew was a bit thirsty at the end of the day and required the BIG can of FUEL Energy Beverage to quench his thirst.......... note below

Sacramento, CA 06/11/10 and 06/12/10 West Coast Pro Gas Race #3

As we set up for the two day event summer is trying to come upon us with heat but 27 mph winds will not let up. This will be a bit of a challenge for the Team to work with.

Last minute adjustments to Sugar-Rush to get her set as she just was not liking the track. These tempermental girls :) "Hot Wheels" Mike was #1 qualifer again in B-Gas, way to go there buddy!!!!!!!!! Not much time to relish his accomplishment as there was work to do. But we did as a Team recognize your GR-RRReat second race in a row #1 qualifier. Just when there are tasks to be done, well there are tasks to be done. Ya know how it goes bud, short lived success :)

Infineon Raceway, CA 05/31/10 West Coast Pro Gas Race #2

Gorgeous weather has finally made it's made to California after thunder and rain during the week. Cars, crew, Goldie and drivers were all ready get the cars going.

“Hot Wheels” Mike and Lowded 67 were #1 Qualifier in B-Gas way to go there buddy. I think he was a lil happy with his award.

Time for some planning in the MBA Pits, this could be a good thing or a bad thing.....

Mean Barbara Jean and her Lil Fire Chicken went to the semi-finals where she and her competitor both had the exact same reaction time of .004 She covered him with the right amount of fender on the stripe but..... broke out giving the win light to him. 10.584 dang.... well a friend once told her there is a winner and a runner up. So we cheered on the folks still in. Alden who is part of our group made it to the finals, way to go bud!! I was looking forward to running you, that would have been fun :)

Funny Car Fever - Sacramento Raceway, CA 04/23/10 - 04/24/10 West Coast Pro Gas Race #1

MBA Racing deputed the Team cars in their newly dressed FUEL Energy Beverage signage.

“Hot Wheels” Mike had his hands full with six Wyotech students as additional Pit Crew for the Team. We really enjoy having the Wyotech students their enthusiasm adds extra FUEL for the Team! Before I forget kudos to one of the Wyotech guys from last year who pit crewed with us for the season and spent many extra hours in our Race garage, he got hired by Tony Pedregon, way to go Jerrod!!! Lowded 67 and “Hot Wheels” Mike did a GR-RRReat job going rounds in the hot FUEL car.

Apryl "Cupcake" and Sugar-Rush were the stellar Team of the MBA Racing Team. They went several rounds of eliminations to the semi-finals. She had the entire MBA Team in the staging lanes of her last round. Way to go Cupcake!

Mean Barbara Jean had the same feeling in the pic above as when looking at her in her crib, only now with a different sense of pride. Way to go kido!

Mean Barbara Jean and the Fire Chicken were running a bit on the fast side for qualifying rounds. Unfortunately on round one we got a bit of tire spin at the tree and just could not recover going down the track, we sure tried. If racing were easy everyone would be doing it. It sure felt fantastic to be back in my Fire Chicken that is all I can say.

April 04/03/10 "Cupcake" Apryl made her license passes to get her "Go Fast License" As her Mom "Mean Barbara Jean" and Dad "Hot Wheels" Mike proudly watched her make her runs she very smoothly and cleanly made her runs. Congratulations to "Cupcake" on a GR-RRReat job!

February the MBA Racing Team Kick Off. We had a GR-RRReat meeting with the Team and our FUEL Sponsor along with food and awesome BBQ.

"Cupcake" Apryl now finished with making food which included awesome chocolate cupcakes, is shooting some pool but having to step around the offical taste tester who has found her spot and is not about to move.

The other cook "Mean Barbara Jean" keeping herself busy. Strawberries for the chocolate fountain. I think these guys have a thing for chocolate...

50th Winter Nationals at Pomona, CA. "Hot Wheels" Mike and "Mean Barbara Jean" were there to Pit Crew for our buddy Mike Blackstone who runs Super Stock. We had a great time. Weather was gorgeous, high 70s and even 80 with snow on the mountains.

PINKS All Out at Infineon Raceway is on our Calendar for September 2010. All three of our Pontiacs are entered with our MBA drivers. Wish us luck!

"Cupcake" Apryl and "Mean Barbara Jean" Barbara making the first batch of MBA Racing Beer. We won the kit at a party and had a blast mixing up the beer. In a week we can bottle it up. Then we will mix up batch #2 of Hard Cider for "Hot Wheels" Mike.
